How gorgeous is that picture?! And the lovely play on words...so perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment on my blog - I enjoyed reading it. Beginnings in later life are definitely different - there's a quietness and steadiness I'm finding rather than the "just jump into it" that I employed in my younger days. More contemplative, I think...and it has much more of a "realness" to the beginning of something new and different.
Thanks again, Noelle Renee.....xoxo
The bear looks like a tender soul, doesn't he?
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree that a still pool can often reflect the hidden depths of our souls.
"He leads me beside still waters..."
(Thank you so much for your kind and perceptive comments on my blog.)
P.S. The pup is very well. As a matter of fact, she has recently promoted herself to "Queen of the Neighborhood Dogs." She feels quite entitled to this position.
ReplyDeleteWhat an image...what is he thinking I wonder.

Hi Delphyne,
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome. I need to read more of your blog to find out what you are doing. I think that women of our experience and wisdom need to be of some good encouragement to one another.Thank you for your comments!
xo,
Noelle
Hi Leslie,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your insights here. Perceptive indeed. I found this "reflection" effect for pictures in Windows Live Writer that was perfect for this photo. Made me so happy. I always think of water as a symbol for the unconscious as I am studying to be a therapist and every so often, what lies beneath the surface is reflected back to us in the tenderest of ways by the one who listens and bears our sorrows and joys. I think of my own counselor but I am sure that "The Wonderful Counselor" is a fine image here as well.
Peace and Light,
Noelle
Hi Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteI wonder too! Bears have deep thoughts I am sure!
xx,
Noelle
Oh my gosh -- the last time I checked the Haiku list, you hadn't posted. I'm so glad I looked again. The bear photo is wonderful, but you've done such a great job with the words, especially the homonym "bear."
ReplyDeleteBeautiful haiku and image to go with it! I love it, Chica! xo
ReplyDeleteHi Meri, thank you! I fell in love with that bear and I found that I could add the extra reflection effect to the picture beyond what the photographer had done to make it extra special. Thanks for noticing the homonym.

Hi Scarlet, hey I love your blog. Thank you. I am so glad I discovered you!

dear noelle,
ReplyDeletefirst impulse...to simply hold that bear.
may i say the photograph with reflection is unbearably irresistible? the idea of a creature so fuzzy and pure white with paws so endearingly close to its cheeks, brings out a pure motherly response.
i love too the pondering. the simplicity. the idea of animals marveling at the wonder of it all.
i am home and contentedly making the haiku rounds. thank you for this and our growing friendship.
Dear Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely comments. I wanted to hug him as well! So glad to hear from you. I hope that your trip was wonderful and that you have many sweet memories to fill your dreams at night. I am very glad we are friends.
Noelle
