To soften Rocks, or bend a knotted Oak.

~part of poem written by William Congreve, in The mourning bride, 1697

That is another gorgeous picture, Noelle - those blues are so intense. Like some music! I was fortunate enough to attend a small public school that offered music and played the flute for several years. I think it taught me to listen deeply, to everything...

  4. Hey Delphyne,
Thank you for the lovely verse. So appropriate. I am glad you had that opportunity. I am so happy that groups like Indaba are available now to help partner with those who want to help children that need music. They are amazing.

  5. I love that photo, too! Did you take it?

I also love that Congreve quote. So apt.

Wonderful that people are fighting for music in schools. I benefited from it, and think it's so sad that music and art are not a part of most children's public education. One of the reasons I home schooled my daughter.

  8. Hi Leslie, I didn't take the photo, it is from pixdaus. If you click on it it will take you directly to the site. They allow you to post pictures but give you the linking url for creative commons. Thank you. Yes, I think that music is essential for children for emotional well being and also for intellectual growth. Indaba is a wonderful project to partner with this other group.
