The Greatest Love of ALL

The Greatest Love of All--by Ario WibisonoPhotograph by Ario Wibisono:  The Music Of Love. This picture was taken in Tenganan Village, Bali (2010). Tenganan is the most famous Bali Aga (original Balinese) village and is located close to Candi Dasa in East Bali. A man was playing bamboo music to entertain a disabled child which is not his son, but he loves this child like he loves his own son. (Photo and caption by Ario Wibisono)
Hope
Hope is with you when you believe
The earth is not a dream but living flesh,
That sight, touch, and hearing do not lie,
That all things you have ever seen here
Are like a garden looked at from a gate.
You cannot enter. But you're sure it's there.
Could we but look more clearly and wisely
We might discover somewhere in the garden
A strange new flower and an unnamed star.
Some people say we should not trust our eyes,
That there is nothing, just a seeming,
These are the ones who have no hope.
They think that the moment we turn away,
The world, behind our backs, ceases to exist,
As if snatched up by the hands of thieves.

  1. Dearest Noelle,

Before I read the words, the beauty of this image struck me, then the words! So poignant! I'm coming back to the relaxation music, too much at this moment!

I feel overwhelmed by your kindness and the thought you put into everything from your images, stories, poetry and each considered comment.

    Thank you.

    From my heart to yours.

    Sue x

BTW I will be posting about my cat Sunday, have a lovely weekend.

  2. That picture shows true love and extreme joy!! Wow two emotions in one shot. The highest and most extreme degree of something special shared by the two!!

Coincidently just watched an Indian Hindi movie called "Guzaarish" which dealt with the problems of a quadriplegic who is contemplating euthanasia ( which is not legally accepted here)

Love the genuineness on their faces in the picture!!
